Q:  What exactly is the lamb from Pinn-Oak Ridge Farm?


A: The lamb sold by the Pinn-Oak Ridge farm comes from small family farms throughout southeastern Wisconsin. The lamb is always under 10 months of age and grain fed for at least 30 days under a special feeding program that enhances the flavor of the meat. WisconsinLamb ™ is free of added hormones and antibiotics, and is harvested when the animal’s weight is between 130 and 150 pounds. The meat is prepared in the Pinnows’ own on-site processing plant in Richmond Township, Wisconsin, by artisan butchers


Q:  What makes Pinn-Oak Ridge Farm lamb different from the competition?


A: In addition to the rich flavor that sets this meat apart from the rest, WisconsinLamb is as fresh as any lamb can be. Orders are taken at the beginning of each week, with specific processing occurring by the middle of the week. The artisan butchers work at the plant that is right on the farm, and Pinn-Oak Ridge maintains several dedicated delivery vans. Within a few days of the order, the meat can be personally delivered to the restaurant kitchen or grocery store.


Q:  Is Pinn-Oak Ridge Farm lamb guaranteed?

A:  Absolutely! If for any reason you are not satisfied with any of our products, please let us know as soon as possible. You have our personal pledge that your concerns will be addressed, and any problems quickly rectified.


Q:  Where can I purchase Pinn-Oak Ridge Farm lamb?


A:  Our WisconsinLamb ™ can now be purchased in over 70 grocery stores and other retail outlets throughout southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois. Please use the “Store Locator” link on this website to find a location near you.
Alternately, you can order online from anywhere in the country. Rest assured that your lamb will be packaged carefully and promptly delivered to your address, so that you can enjoy the fresh WisconsinLamb taste wherever you are!
We also have a retail store right on the farm. If you care to take a ride through the beautiful Wisconsin countryside, where the rolling Kettle Moraine hills merge into the fertile farmland of the Turtle Creek valley, please stop by the farm at N5784 Johnson Road, Delavan, WI (53115). Note that we are out in the country, about halfway between Delavan and Whitewater, WI.


Q:  Do you personally attend any farmers’ markets?


A:  Steve and Darlene Pinnow have been regulars at the Kenosha Farmer’s Market for many years, and you will find them there on most Saturdays throughout the summer season.
